Good afternoon,
I’m sorry because I dsiturb with an stupid questio : ANSYS11 can be installed on KDE4.3 ?
Thank you in advance for your answare and support.
Best regards.
The desktop environment (e.g., Gnome or KDE or Xfce) shouldn’t matter.
I have run ANSYS products fine on either Gnome or KDE in CentOS 4.7, for example.
Good morning,
In Gnome works fine ANSYS11, both with workbench ?
Thank you in advance for support.
Best regards.
ANSYS Workbench 11.0 only works for the operating systems listed in the documentation. CentOS 4.7, which is essentially similar to RHEL 4, should work fine, whether you are using KDE (default) or Gnome.
If you are having problems with ANSYS Workbench 11.0, I suggest you use the supported Linux distributions indicated in the ANSYS 11.0 Installation and Configuration Guide.
Good morning,
I’m sorry because I disturb you again with my question, but in fact ANSYS11 work good on KDE (inclusiv workbench) comparison with Ubuntu9.04 (when workbench cannot be launched) ?
Thank you in advance for your support.
Best regards.
Good afternoon,
Why when I try to install Centos version 4.x, on my desktop dont apear the partition where I want to install it (for example on my desktop dont apear partion “swap” or “ext3” or other type of partion used on hardware), in comparison with other version of linux?
Where is the problem ? All version of CentOS 4.x installed are dowmloaded in image form on DVD-iso.
Best regards.
You are asking general CentOS questions, not items specific to ANSYS usage.
Consequently, our questions would be better posted on the CentOS forums:
