Missing libgtk-1.2.so
When running ANSYS Polyflow 3.12 and you encounter the following error:
/Fluent.Inc/polyflow3.12.2/lnx86/bin/polyman: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
this means that the older GTK+ libraries are missing. On CentOS 5.3, install the “libgtk+-1.2” package whereas on Debian, look for a package called “libgtk1.2”.
Good morning,
I’m sorry because I disturb, but I encountered a problem with contos 5.3: when I instaling centos5.3 everithing work fine, but after I restart the computer, I can see on my monitor only the mouse indicator and all background black.
The version of centos5.3 it was downloade from an ftp source.
Because I want to install ANSYS 11, I want to buy the latest version of centos for 32biti.
All weekend I try to installed centos4.7 and 5.3 and after that my conclusion is to buy the original dvd with this software, and reussing ubuntu 9.04.
You can recomand me an source from where I can buy the DVD-instalation?
Thank you in advance for answare and suport.
I don’t think that your DVD ISO is corrupt (you can also do an MD5SUM after you download the ISO image to check).
You may have a problem with your X Window configuration.
Check the CentOS docs (i.e., Chapter 6) for help:
http://centos.org/docs/5/html/5.2/Installation_Guide/
Please note that CentOS 4.x should work with ANSYS Workbench 11.0. CentOS 5.x will most likely *not* work. (The ANSYS docs note that Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.x doesn’t work, and CentOS 5.x is similar to RHEL 5.x. ANSYS, CFX, and other software are OK for CentOS 5.x, though.
